If you don’t have symptoms, you can request an HIV test through this website. To test for HIV, you need to have a blood test.
You can choose to:
- have a self-test sent to you, or
- go to a laboratory for a blood test*
The self-test will be sent in plain packaging – so no one will know what’s inside without opening it.
*If you’re already going to a laboratory for a syphilis blood test, it’s a good idea to get your HIV test at the laboratory at the same time. HIV laboratory tests are more accurate than self-tests and can show up results earlier.
How does it work?
If you're just getting an HIV self-test, this will be sent out to the address you provided. You'll get a confirmation email with a tracking number in it once it's been sent.
